Dr Clinton Colaco is an Infectious Diseases Physician with specialist interest in General and Acute Medicine. He completed his MBBS at Bond University, followed by a Masters of Medicine (Internal Medicine) at the University of Sydney. He completed physicians training across Western and South-West Sydney hospitals. He currently works as a Staff Specialist in Acute Medicine at The Canberra Hospital. He is a post-graduate fellow in Advanced Therapeutics at Westmead Hospital. Additionally, he serves as a Visiting Medical Officer/Consultant Physician in several private facilities across Sydney, Rockhampton, and Canberra.
Dr Colaco delivers high quality, evidence-based and compassionate care to his patients. An avid researcher, he is involved in multiple local and international clinical trials and primary research. He is currently undertaking a PhD in the value of Telehealth Medicine in an outpatient setting in regional Queensland. He has a passion for teaching medical students, and currently holds the title of Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Queensland, and lecturer at the University of Sydney. As a passionate advocate for doctors for over a decade, he has represented doctors in several medical bodies including AVANT, the AMA, and ASMOF.
Outside of medicine, Dr Colaco enjoys keeping fit. He has represented internationally in bodybuilding. He is an avid cricketer and enjoys marathon running.
